Too cute to pass up, taken from rissa333:

You are in a mall when the zombies attack. You have:
1. one weapon.
2. one song blasting on the speakers.
3. one famous person to fight alongside you.

Weapon can be real or fictional, you may assume endless ammo if applicable. Person can be real or fictional.

1.) A tiny little revolver, taken from my 1920s-style beaded purse.
2.) "Nutbush City Limits" - Tina Turner
3.) Jennifer Saunders

Maybe the zombies, Jennifer and I should cease hostilities and all do the Nutbush, in manner of Michael Jackson's Thriller.

I said before that I thought Paul McGann would make a wonderful Henry Higgins. That still stands, but I didn't consider his wino co-star ... Withnail! Yairs, Richard E. Grant is going to make his international musical theatre debut playing Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady this October! And I'll be eyeballing him from the third roooow!!!!! Shall I wear plastic bags on my feet and see if he gets the joke?

A real live famous English person. He's English ... and he's been in a movie. :O

John Simm is to play soldier of fortune Edward Sexby in The Devil's War (or Whore?), an English Civil War drama by England's Channel 4. Andrea Riseborough from the excellent Being Human is also starring.

Simm's character should win "Most Appropriately Named, FTW".

Quite bored right now, so I'm going to indulge in some wishful thinking. Some of you might remember that there were rumours about 2-3 years ago that the powers that be were going to remake My Fair Lady as a film starring Keira Knightley as Eliza and Jonathan Pryce as Higgins. Yes, I know. Why fix what ain't broke? Especially when Knightley is a mannequin probably can't sing - and I'm not that big a fan of Jonathan Pryce, either. (His portrayal of the The Master in the Doctor Who Comic Relief Special of ages ago is hilarious, though.)

Anyway, those rumours have since died; but if not Knightley and Pryce, then I would love to see Paul McGann playing Professor Higgins and Billie Piper as Eliza Dolittle. What do you think of that? Best combo since fish and chips? Couldn't think of anyone suitably photogenic and endowed in the acting and singing areas to play Freddy Eynsford-Hill, but maybe my f-list could suggest someone.

What would your dream casting be for a film/TV series you've always wished the powers that be would make? I mean, come on. The French made a live-action film adaptation of Asterix and Obelix. Strangely enough, it worked and looked a lot like the comic, but was still pretty bizarre.

Tell me what you think! Post your dream casting up at your journal - with pictures and Photoshopped heads-on-bodies, if you like! :D

I felt something had been lacking in my holiday so far and I only realised what it was when I stepped into HMV this morning. Oh, the range!! Rows upon rows of DVDs and deluxe edition CDs I can never find in Australia. They were selling Sense and Sensibility 2008 on DVD and I don't even think it's screened on Hong Kong TV yet. I stood, mouth agape, in front of the DVD box sets for about 45 minutes. It got to the point where I didn't buy anything, because I wanted to buy everything, and, well, that wouldn't do. Heaven on Earth for geeks.

As if I didn't already have enough reasons to stop me from going back to Sydney, I then visited H&M. Glorious clothing for reasonable prices. Again I didn't buy anything because I was sure I'd end up buying an ill-fitting tank top and tartan miniskirt in my overwhelmed state.

DVDs and hotpants. Sweeet.

Went to visit my grandfather's ashes at the cemetery/crematorium/temple thingy today. The place was infested with monkeys, which is really freaky because I wasn't aware that Hong Kong had monkeys. They were scampering around, eating the food that people had left as offerings to the dead. That is, liek, so rude, Curious George. Someone left some BBQ pork there, and as I ran out I prayed that the monkeys wouldn't go there. The last thing this sick world needs now is carnivorous apes.
